All 13 ArtCraft apps, side by side

ArtCraft ships thirteen separate free, open-source programs, one per craft: image editing, vector art, video, raw photos, PDFs, motion graphics, page layout, interface design, documents, audio, slides, CAD and spreadsheets. Each is a standalone app you install like any other desktop software, and each also has a build that runs in the browser. This page puts them in one table with what we saw when we opened every one of them.

The whole family in one table

Versions are the newest GitHub release we could see on Oct 15, 2026. The two test columns describe the builds we actually ran on Oct 14 and 15, 2026 — scroll the table sideways on a phone.

✓ means the thing we tried finished and produced a result. ◐ means we got part way — most often because an operating-system file dialog is something our test tooling cannot drive. That is a limit of our setup, not a verdict on the app.

How to choose one

Pick by the job, not by the name. Editing pixels in a photograph is PhotoCraft; developing a raw file without touching the original is LightCraft; drawing a logo that has to scale is VectorCraft; a poster or a magazine spread is DesignCraft; a clickable screen mock-up is FigCraft; animated titles are EffectCraft; a cut with sound is FilmCraft; and audio work on its own is SoundCraft. For documents, slides, sheets and technical drawings the family maps onto Word, PowerPoint, Excel and AutoCAD the same way.

What they all have in common

All thirteen are free and open source — each repository's licence is Apache-2.0 in GitHub's API and MIT OR Apache-2.0 in its README — with no account, no subscription and no cloud step: the apps are local programs, and the READMEs describe them as private by default. Each one ships installers for macOS, Windows, Linux and FreeBSD plus a WebAssembly build you host yourself. Every release also carries a SHA256SUMS.txt, which our download guide explains how to check.

These apps and the ArtCraft studio

ArtCraft is two products under one name. These thirteen apps are the free, offline half. The other half is the ArtCraft studio: an AI image-and-video tool that runs in a browser, wants an account and sells credits. Nothing on this page is part of that studio, and none of these apps need it. What is ArtCraft? explains how the two halves relate.

Common questions

Q1Are all ArtCraft apps free?
Yes. Every one of the thirteen is open source with no account and no subscription. The paid side of ArtCraft is the studio, which is a different product.
Q2Which ArtCraft apps run in a browser?
All thirteen ship a WebAssembly build, and all thirteen have it in their latest GitHub release. It is a package you host yourself rather than a website you visit, and we opened every one of them in a browser on Oct 14, 2026.
Q3Do I need an account?
No. None of the apps ask you to sign in, and they work with the network switched off. The studio is the only part that asks for an account.
Q4Which one should I start with?
PhotoCraft is the furthest along and the one we have tested most, including a full open-save-reopen-export run on a Mac. PdfCraft and VectorCraft also finished their core jobs in our tests. The rest are worth trying with a copy of your file.
